Chapter 156

Chapter 113 Part 1

Chapter 113

His mom was stunned and stared at him fixedly.

"I'm saying this for the last time." Gu Fei stood up and pointed at her, lowering his voice. "You are not allowed to go anywhere. This afternoon, you watch the shop."

"What are you doing?!" Old mom came to her senses. "Are you crazy?! Why are you yelling at me?! What son yells at his own mom like this?!"

"What mom is like you?!" Gu Fei kicked the cash register stand again.

This kick was extremely fierce. At that moment, all the frustrations and hopelessness churning inside him but finding no outlet were wrapped up in this fiercely kicked foot.

The cash register stand was kicked over with this kick, and everything on it crashed to the ground, making a huge noise and knocking over the small table in front of Gu Miao.

Gu Miao raised her head, eyes wide open watching this side, her face full of indifference.

Gu Fei turned his head to look at her, covering his eyes with his hand in front of Gu Miao, and Gu Miao closed her eyes. She wasn't particularly sensitive to sounds, because most of the time she couldn't understand the content of other people's conversations. To her, what her eyes saw would be clearer.

"Da Fei, are you crazy?" Old mom looked at him, her voice very soft, almost inaudible, trembling.

When the cash register fell to the ground, it hit her foot. Now she was in so much pain she could barely speak, holding on to the shelves next to her, her eyebrows twisted into knots.

"Who in this family isn't crazy?" Gu Fei looked at her.

A person walked by outside the door. The commotion just now was too loud, and two old grannies from the community clinic next door came running over: "What's going on, what's going on? What happened? Wow! How did this happen? Wow!"

Gu Fei turned his head. The look of excitement and thrill to watch a scene on the old grannies' faces made him feel suffocated. He gritted his teeth, "Get lost!"

"Wow!" The old grannies were very shocked.

"Get lost! Get lost! Get lost!" His mom started screaming and rushed to the door. "Get lost! What are you looking at! None of your business!"

After the two old grannies were driven away, his mom squatted down at the door and started crying.

"You get lost too," Gu Fei said.

That kick didn't get rid of much of the frustrations and hopelessness, but instead drained his body all at once. He felt his legs go soft and plopped back down on the chair, his whole body as if losing all support.

His mom didn't leave. She squatted at the door, rubbing her instep while crying.

Gu Miao righted the small table in front of her and tidied it up, picking up her notebook and pen and lowering her head to continue. She wasn't drawing today, but kept writing.

This small shop was not Gu Fei's only source of income, nor even his main source.

But he ate here, sometimes rested here, chatted with his friends here or listened to their conversations here. Gu Miao skateboarded outside. When she got tired or thirsty, she would come in to drink water and space out. This was where Gu Miao grew up, and where part of what he called home was in his mind all these years.

Now this place had become a burden. Although unwilling to admit it, from young till now, many things were his burden. Many, many things he took to be part of life were his burden.

Dragging him down, firmly unshakable.

He closed his eyes, blocked his ears, couldn't see or hear. He could just keep walking down this path.

But now everything had changed.

Jiang Cheng's slap woke him up. There was nowhere to hide, nowhere to avoid.

However, although he had lashed out at Jiang Cheng before, he never truly blamed Jiang Cheng. In his heart, in a corner, in a corner he had completely forgotten, perhaps he had expected before.

For someone to appear.

Riding a rainbow-colored horse, waving a rainbow-colored sword, rainbow-colored hair fluttering in the wind, face full of diamonds when crying... Then he would probably give a good beating.

This person did appear, in a very alternative way. First picking up his sister, then slamming his own face to the ground, crashing into his life.

From the day he met Jiang Cheng at the train station, his life was disrupted. And he didn't resist, letting Jiang Cheng slash his world into big and small holes, letting in beams of light.

The warm spring sun on the grass.

The sound of a motorcycle came from outside the door, followed by the sound of a motorcycle falling over.

Gu Fei frowned and sighed.

"What happened?" a man anxiously shouted. "Xiao Jin, Xiao Jin, what's wrong with you?"

To be honest, if he didn't know this man was his old mom's boyfriend, the Liu Li that Jiang Cheng called "Ponytail", and that he was calling old mom, he really wouldn't know who this Xiao Jin was.

There was no Jin in old mom's name. This was probably her 108th nickname or pet name.

"Fei Fei, your mom..." Liu Li rushed into the shop.

"Shut up, who the hell are you calling!" Gu Fei said coldly.

"Da... Fei?" Liu Li hesitated. "What's wrong with your mom? Was this... a robbery?!"

Gu Fei stared at him without speaking. Liu Li also looked at him.

After making eye contact for a few seconds, Gu Fei stood up and strode over to Liu Li. As Liu Li reflexively backed away, he grabbed Liu Li's collar with one hand.

"Da Fei, what are you doing?!" Old mom anxiously shouted.

"It's okay, it's okay." Liu Li waved his hand behind him while lowering his voice. "Da Fei, let's talk nicely..."

Gu Fei didn't make a sound, just dragged him towards the backyard.

"Da Fei!" Old mom was anxious and hopped after them on one foot.

Gu Fei looked back coldly at her. At this time, without looking in a mirror, just from old mom's and Liu Li's reactions, he knew his expression must be very scary.

Old mom stopped in her tracks.

Gu Fei dragged Liu Li to the backyard, pushing him towards the toilet. Liu Li staggered back several steps until he hit the back wall before stopping.

Gu Fei walked in front of him. Liu Li immediately raised both hands and crossed them in front of his face: "Don't hit the face."

"Did you say you wanted to take over your boss's restaurant?" Gu Fei pushed his hands away.

"Hm?" Liu Li was stunned for a moment.

"I'm asking you, just answer directly," Gu Fei said.

"I did want to," Liu Li stood up straight, "But I don't have enough money yet, and our boss doesn't plan on selling now..."

"How much money have you prepared?" Gu Fei asked.

"Thirty thousand," Liu Li said.

"Give it to me," Gu Fei said. "This shop is yours now."

"Wha... what?" Liu Li was stunned.

"This place can be used for dining. You can connect the small house, there's enough space. But if you want to use it, you have to keep some of the original shelves, because my sister still needs to come over. She'll be upset if there are no shelves," Gu Fei said.

"Ah." Liu Li was still stunned. "Ah?"

"If you break up with my mom, I'll take the shop back. The money won't be returned," Gu Fei said. "If you don't leave, I'll beat you out."

Liu Li didn't seem to understand whether he heard clearly, still shocked.

"Go get the money," Gu Fei said. "Transfer is fine too."

Gu Fei took two steps back, hands in his pockets, silently looking at Liu Li.

It took Liu Li at least two minutes to recover: "You mean sell this shop of yours to me for 30,000?"

"Mm," Gu Fei gave a sound of affirmation. This location, this shop, wasn't even worth 30,000 with the goods, but right now he was extremely annoyed and wanted to force a buy.

"This... I need to discuss with your mother," Liu Li said.
