Chapter 157

Chapter 113 Part 2

"No discussion," Gu Fei said. "You can just discuss with yourself and think about whether you and my mom will last. If not, then forget it."

"No no, I'm set on her." Liu Li waved his hands. "Your mom is a very lovely woman."

"Then it's settled." Gu Fei turned to walk back into the shop. "Let me know when you've decided."

Back in the shop, his mom was still holding onto the shelves, looking displeased yet with some bewildered anticipation.

Seeing him come back in, she immediately squeezed into the backyard: "Are you okay?!"

"Er Miao." Gu Fei walked past Gu Miao and flicked her head. "Go eat with brother, then go home."

Gu Miao put the cup and pen into her own bag, picked up her skateboard and followed him out the door.

This Liu Li, Gu Fei could sense he was a little different from his old mom's previous so-called true love boyfriends. This man had a relatively stable job. Whether or not the idea of taking over his boss's restaurant was feasible, at least he was someone with a little planning for the future. Most importantly, this was his mom's longest boyfriend so far.

Giving this shop to him, he could do whatever he wanted with it. Gu Fei hoped this could be the first step for his mom's maiden heart to settle down. If they wanted to be lovey-dovey, then be lovey-dovey together in the shop every day!

If they really did break up, Gu Fei wouldn't refuse to return the money either. He just had to make this clear, so Liu Li would consider it carefully.

If he didn't give this shop to someone else, he really no longer had the energy to keep maintaining it.

Liu Li was quite a decisive man. Perhaps the power of love was also strong enough. That afternoon while Gu Fei was sleeping at home, Liu Li called.

"Really can't bargain?" Liu Li asked.

"Can't," Gu Fei said.

"Then... should we sign a contract?" Liu Li asked again.

"Whatever, you draft it," Gu Fei said.

"But I don't know how," Liu Li said.

Gu Fei sighed, "Then let's not sign one, I don't know either."

"A university student like you..." Liu Li laughed.

"I haven't started classes yet," Gu Fei said.

"Okay then, let's just write a simple agreement," Liu Li said. "I trust you; after all, you're Xiao Jin's son."

Gu Fei suddenly felt like laughing. If it came to this point, he should be a very untrustworthy person instead.

Liu Li was waiting in the shop, old mom was also there, looking unhappy yet with some bewildered anticipation on her face.

Gu Fei wrote a very simple agreement, then signed and fingerprinted it together with Liu Li.

"The money all goes to you?" His mom asked.

"Yes," Gu Fei said.

"Then he won't even have start-up capital left!" His mom frowned.

"Let's go." Gu Fei ignored her, stood up, and looked at Liu Li. "Go transfer the money."

Only when they walked out the door did he ask, "Do you still have money on hand?"

"I do," Liu Li nodded. "I do."

"If you're not in a hurry to open a restaurant, just keep selling for now. There are no other grocery stores or supermarkets in this area. It can still do well if you run it properly," Gu Fei said. "Ask my mom about purchasing stock and stuff, she knows."

"Okay, okay," Liu Li kept nodding.

"My sister is used to going to the shop." Gu Fei glanced at him. "Don't let her know the shop is sold to you."

"Don't worry, she can just come and go as she pleases," Liu Li said. "We're all one family from now on anyway."

Gu Fei looked at him as he laughed twice.

"Don't let the shop money pass through my mom's hands," Gu Fei said. "Don't say I didn't warn you if you end up losing money in the future."

Liu Li kept smiling.

Gu Fei didn't say anything more, and took him to the self-service bank at the street corner to transfer the money properly.

After leaving the bank, he did not go back to the shop with Liu Li. Instead, he lit a cigarette and sat on a broken stone stool at the street corner, spacing out for a long time.

The military training at the college only lasted three days and they didn't even provide uniforms. The content was very simple - just walking back and forth on the school playground.

At first, the instructor was fierce but after half a day, he gave up. No matter how fierce he was, these students just could not look like soldiers.

During the break, Gu Fei sat on the edge of a flower bed, took out his phone and casually took two selfies. His selfies were much better than Jiang Cheng's in terms of angle, lighting and composition. As soon as he sent them, Jiang Cheng replied immediately.

- Wow, so handsome!

- Learn from me.

- No need. I'll just get my boyfriend to take photos for me.

Gu Fei smiled.

- Good point.

- Is the military training tiring for you?

- Not at all, it's just like our usual walks.

- Hahahaha, isn't that too relaxing?

- Have your classes started?

- Yes, today was the first day. Lots of classes and new student activities. There's also a lecture on Saturday.

Before Gu Fei could reply, Jiang Cheng sent another message.

- On Saturday afternoon, we can go out in the morning. I'll rest in the afternoon after the lecture then we can go out again.

Gu Fei stared at the message for a long time without replying.

He didn't know how to respond.

Jiang Cheng was wholeheartedly waiting for him to come over but with his current situation, it was almost impossible. He had wanted to discuss with Jiang Cheng to see if he had time to come back...but that didn't seem feasible either now.

Unlike his own university, Jiang Cheng's school had a very busy schedule for new students starting university. He had secretly browsed online before and knew that it was a place gathering top students. Many people maintained a highly intensive learning rhythm starting freshman year. He really didn't want Jiang Cheng to be in a difficult position.

But if he directly said to cancel their meeting, he didn't know how to break it to him either.

Before he could figure out an appropriate approach, Jiang Cheng called.

He gritted his teeth and answered the call. "Boyfriend."

"Boyfriend," Jiang Cheng laughed on the other end, "Why did you stop replying halfway?"

"Someone was talking to me just now," Gu Fei said.

"You saw the messages I sent, right?" Jiang Cheng said. "There's a lecture on Saturday afternoon. We'll be free the whole Sunday so we can spend a nice day together."

"Brother Cheng," Gu Fei frowned, "Um..."

"Hmm?" Brother Cheng responded.

"Remember when I sent you off, I didn't tell her, right?" Gu Fei said with difficulty. "She was a bit upset..."

"Ah?" Jiang Cheng became anxious as soon as he heard this, "Did anything happen to her?"

"No, it was fine." Gu Fei kept pressing his finger on his brow. "But yesterday she was angry because I didn't go home and slept at your place instead."

"She didn't react like this before when you came over, right?" Jiang Cheng said.
