One day, Li Yu transmigrated into a novel—only to discover that he had become an actual fish. Worse still, this fish already has an owner: the novel's sinister, terrifying tyrant, who cannot speak. The system gives Li Yu a mission: only by winning the tyrant's heart can he regain human form.

Li Yu, sobbing buckets: "System, get a grip! I'm just a freaking fish, and he can't even talk. How are we supposed to communicate?"

System: "Quit whining. Winning over the tyrant takes heart."

Li Yu: "Excuse me, does the tyrant even have one? - -"

Li Yu does his best to blow a bubble at the tyrant, only to be scooped up and lovingly installed in a fish tank... spanning thousands of square feet. His fishy little life is one long pampering session.

Every day, Mu Tianchi watches the little carp swimming merrily around and wonders when, exactly, this fish will finally take human form.

What the little carp doesn't know is that the tyrant isn't heartless. He gave his heart away long ago—to the little carp who once saved him entirely by accident.

Mini-Scene:

Li Yu: "So turning from a fish into a human means going through a fish-person stage! Your Highness, would you rather I turned my head fishy first, or my little footsies?"

Mu Tianchi gives it serious thought: "Head today. Feet tomorrow."
