Chapter 60 - Chapter 57 Part 2

"Who is it?" Yan Hang asked beside him.

"Li Ziqiang," Chu Yi said, "I said you were hos-, hospitalized..."

"Mm," Yan Hang smiled, "If they come visit me, have them bring food, seafood noodles or seafood congee are fine."

"Seafood isn't, isn't okay right?" Chu Yi looked at him.

"Answer it first." Yan Hang yawned.

"Chu Yi what's going on with you?" As soon as the call connected, Li Ziqiang asked bluntly, "Do you not consider us friends anymore?"

"What?" Chu Yi was stunned.

"Chunyang said you mentioned having something come up a few days ago, was it that Yan Hang was hospitalized a few days ago?" Li Ziqiang asked.

"Mm." Chu Yi responded.

"Then aren't you being a bit too much!" Li Ziqiang was very dissatisfied, "Chunyang and the others are all locals, if you had said something they could have helped out! Saying nothing at all, you're not being considerate enough."

"...Ah." Chu Yi didn't know how to respond, not understanding why this was being inconsiderate.

"What ah," Li Ziqiang said, "We'll go visit Yan Hang at the hospital tomorrow, if there's anything you need help with just say the word."

"No, no need, it's too trou-" Chu Yi still wanted to decline, but was interrupted by Yan Hang.

"Have them bring me food." Yan Hang said.

Chu Yi glanced at him.

"Food, with meat." Yan Hang said.

"Then bring, bring some food," Chu Yi could only repeat to Li Ziqiang, "He's going, crazy drinking rice soup."

On the other end, Li Ziqiang laughed very loudly: "No problem, leave it to Chunyang!"

"Semi-liquid diet," Chu Yi hurriedly added, "He..."

"What illness is he hospitalized for?" Chunyang's voice came from the other end.

"...Got beat, beaten and robbed." Chu Yi glanced at Yan Hang.

"Knife wound?" Chunyang was stunned for a moment.

"Mm." Chu Yi responded.

"Alright, semi-liquid diet is it?" Chunyang asked.

"Right." Chu Yi nodded.

"Then shredded chicken noodles and such? Make a steamed egg too? Pumpkin and millet porridge should work too," Chunyang said, "Damn, talking about it is making me hungry."

"Okay." Chu Yi had just finished eating, hearing him talk about it made even him a bit peckish.

The guys in the dorm probably didn't think much of skipping classes. Chu Yi originally thought they would come over at noon, but they arrived early in the morning, not long after he had entered the hospital room.

"What the hell?" Zhang Qiang was shocked when he saw him, "What happened to your foot? Were you two robbed together?"

"No," Chu Yi smiled, "just an accident."

"Then we'll console you in a bit," Li Ziqiang squeezed to the bedside with a bag containing several lunch boxes, "Brother Hang, you must be hungry, right? Hurry up and eat while it's still hot."

"Thanks." Yan Hang said.

"Don't mention it. We were going to buy some high-end nutritional stuff originally," Li Ziqiang said, "but since you asked for these, it saved us a lot of money. All together it was less than 100 yuan."

"Talking big," Yan Hang said, "100 yuan is nothing to you, huh."

"Just got back from home," Zhou Chunyang stood by the wall smiling, "they're all loaded now."

"Brother Hang," Hu Biao sat down by the bed, "tell us what happened. How could the robbers injure you?"

"There were several people surrounding me," Yan Hang opened a lunch box, it seemed to be shredded chicken noodles, very fragrant. Chu Yi could smell the aroma even standing by the door. Yan Hang ate while spinning a tale, "I couldn't handle them all."

"At times like this, it's better to just give them the money, otherwise you'll get hurt," Hu Biao sighed, "Where are you injured?"

"Stomach," Yan Hang glanced at Li Ziqiang beside him, "What happened to your face? And that guy... Zhang Qiang?"

"Don't even mention it," Zhang Qiang waved his hand, "as soon as we got back to school, we got into a damn fight."

"Was it with the guys I saw last time?" Yan Hang asked.

The guys all started talking at once. Basically, as soon as they returned to school, they ran into some guys from Room 404 hanging around their dorm door. So without exchanging a word, they started fighting. Midway, Fatty Bro, holding a grudge against Zhou Chunyang for being gay, joined the battle. They fought from the fourth floor down to the third floor and back up to the fourth floor again.

Chu Yi glanced at Zhou Chunyang and sure enough, noticed a gash on his neck.

"How did you sprain your ankle?" Zhou Chunyang turned his head and asked.

"Misstep, twisted it." Chu Yi said.

"Oh," Zhou Chunyang looked at him and sighed, saying softly, "In the future, if there's something like this, just say so. Even if we're all students and can't help much, at least we can run some errands for you."

"Mm." Chu Yi smiled.

"Have you lost weight from all the stress?" Zhou Chunyang looked him over again, "I feel like you've gotten thinner."

"Really?" Chu Yi touched his own face.

"Yeah, just not as much as Yan Hang." Zhou Chunyang said.

Chu Yi didn't say anything and glanced at Zhou Chunyang.

None of the other guys noticed Yan Hang had lost weight, but Zhou Chunyang actually saw it!

He stared at Zhou Chunyang, his heart surging with emotion, forgetting to look away. After Zhou Chunyang stared back at him for a while, he started laughing.

"What are you laughing at?" Chu Yi suddenly felt a bit awkward.

"Nothing," Zhou Chunyang glanced over at Yan Hang, then turned back, leaning slightly towards Chu Yi's direction while still leaning against the wall. He said in a low voice, "Last time when I asked if you had feelings for someone, you wouldn't admit it."

Thinking back to that conversation he had with Zhou Chunyang in the cafeteria, he immediately felt his face getting a bit flushed. When he told Zhou Chunyang "no way" at that time, what he was thinking in his heart was completely different from now.

He never imagined that in such a short time, he would suddenly change into how he was now.

Very depressed.

Even a bit angry.

How could a person change so quickly?

He really wanted to go back to before, not necessarily way back, just to the day before he ate with Zhou Chunyang. Then there would be no issues at all between him and Yan Hang.

"I don't." He said.

"Huh?" It took Zhou Chunyang a couple seconds to react, "Oh."

Chu Yi was still looking at him, feeling like he wanted to say something more, but not knowing what he should say.

"My mistake," Zhou Chunyang said, "After all, I... so sometimes I always see a bit of something in other people. Sorry about that."

With Zhou Chunyang saying this, he suddenly felt a bit disappointed.

But he couldn't say clearly what he was disappointed about.

The guys from the dorm didn't stay very long before being chased out by the nurse, saying they were being too rowdy.

"Dog Bro, let us know when you're heading back to school," Hu Biao patted Chu Yi on the shoulder, "We'll come pick you up. That ankle of yours probably won't heal for ten days to half a month."

"Okay." Chu Yi nodded. This time he didn't say thanks, afraid Li Ziqiang would complain again that he wasn't being enough of a friend.

After the guys left, he looked at the food they had brought. Yan Hang hadn't eaten much, just a few bites of the shredded chicken noodles.

"Not tasty?" He asked.

"It's pretty good, I just haven't been eating much, so I get full after a few bites now," Yan Hang looked at the lunch boxes in front of him, "I haven't tried this pumpkin millet porridge yet. You eat it."

"I can, finish it all." Chu Yi said.

"Then you finish it." Yan Hang smiled and pushed all the lunch boxes in front of him.

Chu Yi took them and started eating. It was indeed quite tasty. He hadn't eaten breakfast and as soon as he smelled the aroma earlier, he felt uncomfortably empty inside.

Yan Hang leaned against the head of the bed, watching him eat with gusto.

It had been ten days. Chu Yi hadn't been eating or sleeping well, getting fevers and spraining his ankle. Yan Hang originally didn't notice much, but just now, compared to Chu Yi's dorm mates, he suddenly realized Chu Yi had lost quite a bit of weight and looked very tired.

"Go weigh yourself in the hallway later," he said, "Have you lost a lot of weight? I see you every day but can't really tell."

"Chun, Chunyang also said I, lost weight," Chu Yi said between bites, "Maybe lost, a bit."

Chunyang.

This person sure takes advantage.

"I saw you two chatting for quite a while just now," Yan Hang said, "What were you talking about?"

"Nothing much," Chu Yi tilted his head back to shovel the last bite of shredded chicken noodles into his mouth, "Just asked, how I, hurt my foot."

"Oh." Yan Hang smiled.

Chu Yi quickly finished off the rest of the food, then cleaned up the lunch boxes and went out to throw them away: "I'll go weigh, myself and see if I lost, weight or not." "Mm." Yan Hang responded.

After watching Chu Yi leave, Yan Hang leaned his head back and sighed.

Although rationally he knew that Chu Yi's current state had nothing to do with classmate Zhou Chunyang, whenever he saw Chu Yi standing to the side and chatting quietly with Zhou Chunyang, he still felt unhappy.

He always felt like pulling Zhou Chunyang over and warning him a few times.

But warn him about what?

Don't fucking talk nonsense with Chu Yi?

Don't lead Chu Yi astray again?

Tsk.

Did these things really have anything to do with Zhou Chunyang?

He actually wasn't clear about what he was thinking or worrying about. On one hand, he felt that even if Chu Yi liked him, liked men, it was no big deal. On the other hand, seeing him like this made his heart ache.

"Lost t- ten pounds!" Chu Yi bounced into the hospital room and looked at him in great surprise. "Was my flesh c- cut off? Lost so much weight?"

"Cut my ass," Yan Hang sighed. "You make it sound so creepy."

"You go weigh yourself and see?" Chu Yi said.

"Okay." Yan Hang slowly got out of bed.

The two of them, one walking slowly and the other hopping on one leg, even made the nurses laugh as they passed through the corridor.

Yan Hang stood on the scale and looked. He had probably lost about fifteen pounds compared to before being hospitalized.

Chu Yi looked at the scale and frowned, "Lighter than me."

"From hunger." Yan Hang smiled.

Chu Yi frowned without speaking.

"What's wrong?" Yan Hang flicked his forehead. "I'll gain it back after eating a couple meals once discharged."

"Just a- angry." Chu Yi said. As Yan Hang got off the scale, he reached out and lightly touched Yan Hang's waist, then quickly withdrew his hand.

Yan Hang grabbed his hand and pressed it against his waist, "It's fine now, the stitches will be removed soon."

"Mm." Chu Yi pulled his hand out and smiled.
