Chapter 132

Chapter 81 Part 2

"They're fine," Yan Hang said, "It's not easy to come back when you live far away."

"That makes sense," the old man nodded, "In a blink of an eye it's been over ten years, even young folks' kids are grown ups now."

Before leaving, Yan Hang took a photo of the old man along with the Two Good Buddies shop behind him.

Back in the car, he sent the photo to Cui Yi.

- The old man still remembers little Cui and little Yan

As a middle aged man, Cui Yi generally wouldn't reply via text. He simply sent back a voice message:

"Damn."

Yan Hang started the car and drove in circles around the streets, waiting for Chu Yi to find a good restaurant nearby on his phone.

"This one," Chu Yi pointed at his phone, "the restaurant is called Tasty, good food."

Yan Hang smiled: "Okay."

"I'll get a coupon, for a discount," Chu Yi said.

"I'm treating..." Yan Hang sighed.

"You can give me, cash," Chu Yi said, "full price."

"Get out," Yan Hang tutted, "navigate us there."

This restaurant was called Tasty, decorated rather nicely, the servers smiled very eagerly, the Three Cup Chicken was cooked very well.

Just that the portions were small. After finishing one plate of Three Cup Chicken, Chu Yi sighed: "I thought it was, quite cheap, turns out the portions are so, so small."

"It's enough for normal people," Yan Hang said, "they designed it based on normal people."

"We're dogs," Chu Yi said, "not enough, request another, another plate."

"Want anything else?" Yan Hang asked.

"What's that, that's stacked up," Chu Yi looked at the table beside them and asked softly, "the, the pile."

"French toast," Yan Hang took a glance, "probably with ice cream poured on top."

"I want to eat it," Chu Yi said.

"Sure," Yan Hang called the server over and ordered two more dishes for him, "try it later, I'm not confident about the Three Cup Chicken, but if you like the French toast I can make it for you when we're back."

"Okay," Chu Yi smiled and nodded.

Chu Yi ordered a blueberry French toast, it tasted great, he ate over two thirds of it by himself.

"Still such a big appetite in the summer," Yan Hang sighed again.

"Growing boy," Chu Yi said.

"Hurry up and grow, let's see you reach two meters," Yan Hang said.

"At one point nine I can, look down at you," Chu Yi patted his stomach contently, "I can already, look down at you when I stand up now."

"Can you have some integrity as a stutterer," Yan Hang said, "which stutterer talks as much as you?"

"I'm the one who talks the most, among stutterers," Chu Yi said, "the most talkative among the stutterers."

"Check please," Yan Hang stood up.

Chu Yi went to the bar with his phone, probably never had the chance to pay by phone before, he stared at his phone very seriously the whole time.

"Thirty plus, in discounts," Chu Yi said, "great."

Yan Hang just smiled without responding.

"Don't need to, give me the money," Chu Yi sighed, "haven't paid you back Sister Bai's agency fee yet."

"Oh right," Yan Hang snapped his fingers, "almost forgot."

Chu Yi gave him a look.

"I definitely wouldn't forget with others," Yan Hang put an arm around his shoulder, "tend to forget about yours."

When they left the restaurant, the sky outside wasn't completely dark yet, but the street lights were already brightly lit.

This sense of prosperity wasn't anything special, whether it was home or his current school, such night scenes were very common.

But for Chu Yi it was indeed different.

This was a completely unfamiliar city, his travel destination.

When he had rushed over to find Yan Hang earlier, he saw unfamiliar cities too, apart from anticipation and hope, there was more tension, panic and confusion.

Now it was different. Now with Yan Hang by his side, because this was an experience they shared, all the unfamiliarity turned into novelty and beauty.

This wasn't a particularly professional tourist destination, but compared to seeing all sorts of tourists, this feeling of slowly walking among the locals was also quite wonderful.

"Thirsty?" Yan Hang asked, "there's an ice cream parlor up ahead."

"Ice cream doesn't, quench thirst," Chu Yi said.

Yan Hang tutted twice: "Want ice cream?"

"Yes," Chu Yi nodded.

"Let's go eat, come on," Yan Hang patted his back, "I've discovered sometimes you really are annoying."

"Just discovered now, a bit late," Chu Yi said with a smile.

Wandering aimlessly on the streets, eating ice cream, hanging out at arcades, these were the everyday lives of ordinary classmates that he had envied yet didn't dare to envy before the first year of middle school.

After coming out to attend school, he had already started living such a daily life, but now all of this still felt different because "this is part of the trip."

He and Yan Hang even went to see a midnight movie after wandering around for a few hours. Although it was a movie that was so bad that quite a few people walked out midway and he didn't even remember what it was about.

The night was thoroughly enjoyed.

Only after returning to the hotel did he feel tired. Yan Hang had to slap his legs a few times before he stumbled into the bathroom to shower.

"Traveling is so tiring," he said, lying on the bed with his arms and legs spread out, eyes closed, and sighing.

"You're so easily satisfied," Yan Hang said. "No one goes traveling to wander the streets of another city, play games and watch movies."

"The two of us," Chu Yi smiled very comfortably. "I think this is what traveling is, no need to be like others."

"Well said, Dog Bro," Yan Hang applauded him and pushed him aside to lie on the bed.

"Are you tired?" Chu Yi asked.

"Exhausted," Yan Hang said, "physically and mentally exhausted."

"But also ex,excited, right," Chu Yi turned his head, "after all, knowing Uncle Yan..."

"Not excited at all," Yan Hang gritted his teeth, "pisses me off."

Chu Yi smiled.

"That old fox is probably hiding somewhere taking secret photos of me," Yan Hang sighed. "I can sense it if someone so much as glances at me among a hundred people, can't believe I didn't notice him taking photos of me."

"He taught you all this," Chu Yi said. "He must be stronger than you. Maybe he still has some secret methods that he didn't pass on to you."

"Definitely." Yan Hang nodded.

"When you see him next time," Chu Yi said, "tie him up and torture him."

"Good idea," Yan Hang laughed, then choked and coughed twice. "How about you do the torturing?"

"No problem," Chu Yi clenched his fist.

The task of visiting the cemetery was already completed, and the harvest had exceeded Yan Hang's expectations. The next few days could be real traveling.

However, he still couldn't fall asleep this night.
