Chapter 4 - Second-Generation Heir x Illegitimate Son 4

The 3:00 PM sunlight shone through the room's window, casting a warm, glowing light across the floor.

Yan Qin couldn't feel any warmth. A chilling cold surged up from the bottom of his body, making his bones freeze.

Lin Sui had paid a high price for him; he could only think of one possibility.

Yan Qin's voice was hoarse. "He agreed?"

"Of course. To him, you are just an illegitimate son, a bargaining chip that can be exchanged."

Lin Sui was a brightly colored, beautiful poisonous butterfly, and the words he spat out were corrosive.

Yan Qin's pupils shrank, and the veins bulged on his hands hanging by his sides.

He had always understood that his father in name had no familial affection for him, but he hadn't expected him to sell someone off so easily.

"Go bury the box before coming back up. Someone will tell you where Wu Yun rests."

"Also, your mother..."

"What about my mom?"

Yan Qin sensed the threat and spoke while staring at Lin Sui.

This was his weak point, the reason he endured everything. Yan Qin knew his mother had long meant nothing to that man, and he worried that her medical resources would be cut off, which would almost cost him his life.

"Who gave you permission to interrupt me?"

The young master wasn't wearing shoes; he stepped on his shoulder barefoot.

Lin Sui wore a half-smile, but he was clearly in a bad mood. The sole of his foot pressed down hard, making the crouching Yan Qin sway slightly.

However, Yan Qin didn't feign obedience; he stared straight at Lin Sui.

His facade of calmness and feigned numbness was torn away, revealing the ruthlessness and ferocity inside.

He was like a wild dog cornered in an alley, back arched and eyes red, ready to counterattack at any moment and tear his enemy to shreds.

"What do you think you are? You're just an illegitimate son born in secret, not even fit to carry my shoes."

Lin Sui's foot slid from Yan Qin's shoulder to his chest and ruthlessly kicked him, watching as Yan Qin fell to the floor.

A cold anger churned in Yan Qin's chest. That ball of fire rampaged within him, almost burning and roasting him to death.

He scrambled up. The image of his mother's haggard face from her illness surfaced in his mind. He pressed the tip of his tongue against the roof of his mouth to endure the rusty taste welling up in his throat.

"Young Master, it's my fault. I shouldn't have interrupted you."

The young man's brows carried a suppressed forbearance as he lowered his head.

"You change your tune quite fast. That wasn't your attitude just now."

Lin Sui chuckled, clapping his hands in mock applause.

"Did my kick hurt just now?"

His jade-white toes pressed against the young man's chest again, stepping on it through the thin fabric.

The cyan veins were clearly visible on the instep of his foot, carrying a magnificent hue.

"It didn't hurt."

Yan Qin answered through gritted teeth. It really didn't hurt, but it was infuriating.

The young master's toes tapped against his chest again. Yan Qin looked up at him. His eyes seemed to say something, yet also seemed to say nothing at all, leaving one to only guess.

These days were harder to endure than being in the Yan Family. At least Yan Zhou couldn't restrict where he went, nor did he need to be curried favor with.

Moving rather stiffly, Yan Qin grasped the young master's foot. He brought his palms together, somewhat clumsily helping Lin Sui warm his foot.

Lin Sui was slightly surprised and couldn't hold back a laugh. His shoulders shook as a result; evidently, he couldn't stop laughing.

He had merely wanted Yan Qin to put his shoes on for him. Who knew Yan Qin would try to warm his feet?

He simply pushed his luck, stuffing his other foot into Yan Qin's embrace as well. He pulled out a book resting to the side and began to flip through it with great interest.

Yan Qin's knees grew stiff and cold as he silently watched the sun set in the west.

The human shadow cast on the floor was indistinct, seemingly blurring into a damp mass.

Cluttered and intertwined, much like a heart filled with gloom and chaotic lines.

Yan Qin looked at the young man's slender ankles. The image of snapping them flashed through his mind before finally returning to silence.

It wasn't until the light grew too dim to read the text that Lin Sui reluctantly put down the heavy book.

In the fading twilight, Lin Sui lifted the young man's chin.

These eyes were deep and cold, entirely impenetrable to light.

Lin Sui looked into these eyes and slightly curled his lips.

His fingers brushed across Yan Qin's face, as gently as if he were caressing a lover.

Remember everything about today. Remember this lesson and humiliation.

On the day you kill me, absolutely do not show mercy.

Lin Sui leaned down, his shadow enveloping Yan Qin's face.

Yan Qin didn't know what he was looking at, nor did he care. Even if Lin Sui suddenly changed his expression and slapped him the next moment, it wouldn't matter to him. He only cared about one thing, but if Lin Sui was determined to keep him in suspense, he wouldn't be able to force an answer out of him. Ultimately, he was just too weak.

But to his surprise, what fell on his face wasn't a slap, but some kind of soft object.

Yan Qin stared at Lin Sui in astonishment, only to see the young master with closed eyes, kissing his forehead, then the tip of his nose, continuously moving downward, and finally...

The touch on his lips made Yan Qin both shocked and angry. That softness was fleeting, a light peck like a dragonfly skimming the water, making it feel almost like an illusion.

He saw a bright rosy flush floating on the young master's face, his eyes rippling with a soul-stealing light.

He poked out the tip of his tongue to moisten his crimson lips with a watery sheen, making one's heart palpitate for no reason.

He was so hateful and detestable, yet he exuded a tempting vulnerability.

"Get out. Go bury the box."

Lin Sui said lazily while propping up his cheek, glancing at Yan Qin before withdrawing his gaze.

Yan Qin's chest full of disgust and hatred was interrupted by Lin Sui's sudden actions, and his heart was even more captivated by Lin Sui's final glance. It was as if an itch welled up from deep within, making him desperately want to reach inside and scratch it, even if it meant tearing himself bloody.

He was ashamed and vexed, shocked and furious, unable to distinguish what Lin Sui was trying to do. Was it a prank, or another method of humiliation?

This young master, who had grown up in the lap of luxury and wiped his fingers as if touching something filthy the first time they made contact—would he really kiss him just to play a trick on him?

Whatever the case, Yan Qin was still just a nineteen-year-old youth. He hurriedly left with the box, his retreating figure screaming of inner turmoil.

Lin Sui didn't care how chaotic Yan Qin's thoughts were. Watching Yan Qin leave the room, he stepped his warmed, slightly weak feet onto the solid wood floor and fell backward onto the soft, large bed.

The System was already quite dissatisfied because Yan Qin had been punished for several hours, and it was further stimulated by Lin Sui's actions just now, nearly driving it mad with anger. However, seeing Lin Sui like this, it felt somewhat baffled.

[Why did you kiss him!]

Lin Sui lowered the air conditioning temperature, unbuttoned his top two buttons to reveal slightly flushed collarbones, and apologized half-heartedly, "Sorry, officer, I couldn't hold back."

"He looked so obedient, and the things hidden in his eyes were quite interesting too."

"It reminded me of a time in a mystic realm when he killed two demonic beasts. Those beasts were inherently symbiotic, and when their blood mixed, it would produce a strong effect. At that time, it was just him and me inside."

"He knew I possessed the Human Cauldron Physique, but he didn't touch me. He endured it until his face was entirely red, yet still tried his hardest to promise me that he would never cross the line. To avoid offending me, he bound his own hands and feet with magical artifacts and huddled in the corner, telling me not to be afraid."

Although the things being suppressed were somewhat different, they were ultimately both emotions that made Lin Sui's heart surge, not to mention his stiff, misconstrued attempts to curry favor.

"At that time, we could be considered strangers. I actually thought many times that it wouldn't have been a bad thing if he really wanted to use me; at least then I wouldn't have to feel guilty."

Lin Sui realized he was quite sick in the head. On one hand, he didn't want Yan Qin to love him; even in this small world, he wanted him to hate him, detest him, and take revenge on him. If Yan Qin were genuinely grateful to him, never mind the Will of Heavenly Dao finding it disgusting, he would find himself disgusting too.

But on the other hand, he couldn't hold himself back. Like just now—if it weren't for reason restraining him and the System's threat, he would have pushed the guy to the floor.

He had probably been broken by Yan Qin, Lin Sui thought while rubbing his head, or broken by that stupid Human Cauldron Physique. After all, it truly was very pleasurable.

Who didn't like pleasurable things? He was very open-minded about any of his own needs.

The three images that suddenly popped up in his mind prompted Lin Sui to mentally conjure a question mark.

[Will of Heavenly Dao, have you gone stupid?]

System: [You're the one who's gone stupid. I just searched through this small world's database, and these are the most suitable warnings for your state just now!]

System: [Anyway, you are not allowed to have any improper thoughts about the Child of Fortune anymore. If you kiss him again, I'll shock you!]

Lin Sui nodded perfunctorily, lamenting and reminiscing about Yan Qin's little brother in his heart, his mind aimlessly wondering if the current nineteen-year-old Yan Qin's size was as impressive as in their past life.

System: [Put away your thoughts.]

Lin Sui said apologetically, [I'm truly sorry for defiling you.]

Then, upholding the principle that the System's pain was his joy, he continued to recall the details. The more he thought about it, the more he felt that Yan Qin was truly amazing.

System: ...

Ahhhh, this shameless vixen, where is its knife!

As soon as Lin Sui thought of the image of it stomping its feet in anger, he revealed a thoroughly satisfied smile.
