The Plough

The Plough

Chapter 180 - Chapter 178 Part 2

Ling Shu was both horrified and curious. He wanted to know why this person was here.

With his mind racing, he took a few steps forward and suddenly grabbed the person's shoulder, flipping them over.

A face appeared from the darkness, familiar yet unfamiliar, causing Ling Shu's hair to stand on end.

It was Miss Feng!

"You're not dead?!" Even someone as bold as Ling Shu couldn't help but shout in surprise.

Feng Zhenzhu looked up at him and then lowered her head to continue gnawing on the pig's trotter in her hand.

"Who are you?"

Ling Shu realized that she didn't recognize him, so he gave his name. "My surname is Ling, I'm here to rescue you. Why are you here?"

Miss Feng said, "After I was caught, I ran away whenever I saw the opportunity. I ran all the way here, but couldn't find a way out. If I go back, there's that snake monster, so I dare not go back and can only be trapped here."

Ling Shu said, "That's perfect. We're here to rescue you now. Are you familiar with the terrain here? Is there a door there? Where does it lead? Can't it be opened?"

Miss Feng replied, "I opened it before, but it's a dead end. The only way out is to turn back."

"Don't say any more. Come with me first. Let's go find Old Yue and meet up with them!" Ling Shu couldn't stand her dawdling and reached out to pull her.

But as he got closer, he realized that she was gnawing on a human arm, not a pig's trotter.

He shook his hand and involuntarily let go of her.

Miss Feng saw him take two steps back and stopped chewing on the meat, then extended her arm.

"Don't be afraid, try it, it's actually quite tasty! There's nothing to eat here, you'll be hungry sooner or later, so it's better to eat your fill first before trying to escape."

Surprisingly, Ling Shu felt that what she said made some sense, mainly because he was indeed hungry, and the arm in Miss Feng's hand was emitting a strong aroma.

He stared at it for a while, and then, as if possessed, reached out and took it.

"Try it, you'll know once you taste it."

"I won't lie to you, I've already eaten it."

The gentle and seductive voice of the woman kept stirring Ling Shu's heartstrings.

He slowly lifted the stiff and non-rotting arm, opened his mouth -

His shoulder was heavily slapped.

"What are you doing!"

Ling Shu turned his head abruptly.

Yue Dingtang furrowed his brow and looked at him with an inexplicable expression.

"Miss Feng is..." He turned his head back as he spoke.

But there was no Miss Feng to be found, and he wasn't even holding onto a human arm, but rather a dark and gloomy stone. He didn't realize it before, but now that he saw it was a stone, he immediately felt its weight in his hand.

"What's wrong with you?" Yue Dingtang asked with concern. "We just chased after you and looked for you for a long time."

Ling Shu threw the stone away and smiled bitterly. "I don't know, maybe I'm just too tired and having hallucinations, or maybe it's hypnosis or some other influence. Did you smell anything fragrant?"

"No," Yue Dingtang replied.

Ling Shu shone the kerosene lamp on the corner where he was just standing, but there was no Miss Feng or anyone else.

Everything that just happened was really just his own hallucination.

The aroma was so real that he could still feel it lingering in his nose, making his mouth water.

"Where did you guys go? I've been waiting for you and something feels off here..."

He turned to Yue Dingtang, but his expression froze in that moment.

He saw behind Yue Dingtang, a figure with white hair had appeared, holding an axe and silently swinging it towards Yue Dingtang's head.

His eyes were fixed on Ling Shu, revealing a sinister smile that matched the curve of his lips.

Ling Shu gasped and without hesitation, pushed Yue Dingtang away.

"Watch out!!!"
