Chapter 69 - Chapter 69

When Boss Lu came in with a new set of tools, Gu Fei was leaning against the wall playing on his phone, while Jiang Cheng was sitting on the operating table spacing out.

Boss Lu probably didn't expect that at this moment, one hadn't actually clicked on anything on his phone yet, while the other was trying hard to suppress the urges of spring with his inner energy.

"Ready?" Boss Lu asked.

"Yeah," Jiang Cheng was a little worried about his state earlier, but as soon as Boss Lu spoke, the urges of spring were frightened away before they could attack, and he relaxed with a sigh of relief. But when he glanced down, it was still a little awkward, "Is this spot...easy to do?"

"The inner thigh?" Boss Lu looked at him, "No problem, I've tattooed everywhere on people, yours is still relatively easy to do."

"Is it round enough?" Gu Fei asked from the side, "If it's not round enough I can bite again on the other side."

"It's good," Boss Lu looked at Jiang Cheng's leg, "You...have sharp canines? Quite symmetrical too. How about I make the two fang points into a heart shape?"

"...That's not bad either," Jiang Cheng actually hadn't taken a close look at the bite mark yet. After Gu Fei bit him, the two of them were in a state where if no one else was around they could start going at it right away. Only now did he lower his head to take a glance, "It really could work."

Gu Fei's bite was also very neat, but the two fang points were especially prominent, poking out a little. Making them into two little hearts was really...quite good looking.

"I can use red when coloring the hearts," Boss Lu said, "It'll look great. Lie on your side so the design is flat, it'll be easier for me to work."

Gu Fei watched as Jiang Cheng lied down on his side, right leg flat on the bed, left leg bent...this position really had a provocative yet wanton feel. When Boss Lu leaned over him to start the tattoo lines, he almost went over to flip the guy away.

Unlike the collarbone, this area was more sensitive, so he took a stool and sat at the edge of the bed behind Jiang Cheng, leaning over the edge to watch face-to-face with Boss Lu over Jiang Cheng's leg.

"Doesn't seem to hurt," Jiang Cheng said.

"Tattoo lines don't hurt much," Boss Lu glanced up at Gu Fei, "Later the coloring will hurt a little, but it's much better than the collarbone, that area is more painful."

"My shoulder still hurts now," Gu Fei nodded.

"It'll be better tomorrow," Boss Lu continued the line work.

Hearing his voice, Jiang Cheng turned his head to look this way: "Damn, why're you sitting there?"

"Where?" Gu Fei also glanced at him, then looked at where he was sitting. His position was probably only twenty centimeters from Jiang Cheng's butt, "I can see clearly from here."

"Whatever," Jiang Cheng rested his head on his arm, "I just got through your level, why don't you go play for a bit."

"No," Gu Fei said.

Jiang Cheng didn't say any more.

Gu Fei continued leaning on the bed edge watching Boss Lu do the lines.

To be honest, with Jiang Cheng only wearing underwear lying on the bed like this, it was still quite agonizing for him. Jiang Cheng had great skin, tight and glossy. His t-shirt rode up a little, and from this angle he could see his waist and a section of his back...if he wasn't afraid Jiang Cheng would have a conditioned reflex and suddenly shift, he really wanted to reach over and sneak a touch to his back.

At first Jiang Cheng's eyes were open, but later he closed them. Glancing down he could see Boss Lu's serious face half-buried in his crotch area, the scene was just too awkward.

But after closing his eyes for less than two seconds, he opened them again. Lying there with his eyes closed as if he was very comfortable also felt strange and more awkward.

With eyes open, if he didn't look at Boss Lu...he wanted to look at Gu Fei, but when he turned his head and saw Gu Fei leaning over behind him, looking at Boss Lu face-to-face between his legs, the scene instantly became even more bizarre.

He sighed softly: "Gu Fei."

"Hm?" Gu Fei responded.

"Don't you have movies on your phone?" Jiang Cheng asked, "Find me one to watch."

"Sure," Gu Fei took out his phone, "I'll find you one."

The skin on his leg was flatter, so Boss Lu worked faster than before. After letting them look it over and making sure there were no issues, he started the coloring.

While watching the movie, Jiang Cheng was still thinking about how the two little fang heart shapes were quite exquisite, but before he could think much more, he started to feel pain.

This kind of pain on the skin surface didn't feel like anything after a poke or two, it couldn't even be described as painful, but if it was repeated over and over in the same spot, it became less and less comfortable.

Boss Lu worked very carefully, Jiang Cheng only felt time passing extremely slowly, as if it had coagulated. After what felt like tattooing for a long time, he glanced at the time, and not much had actually passed. Because of the pain he unconsciously tensed his muscles, and in this position his left leg had to exert force or it would smash right into Boss Lu's head. After an hour, he started feeling extremely tired, and couldn't even focus on watching the movie.

"Gu Fei," he called.

"Hm," Gu Fei stood up looking at him.

"Can you...help support my leg," Jiang Cheng sighed, "My leg is numb."

Gu Fei laughed and grabbed his left knee: "Like this?"

"Oh f*ck," Jiang Cheng instantly relaxed, "I'm beat."

"Won't be much longer," Boss Lu said, "Over halfway there."

"It's been tiring on you, Boss Lu," Jiang Cheng sighed.

After Gu Fei held his knee, he felt the few inches of skin being tortured on his leg didn't hurt as badly anymore. But Gu Fei's position of standing there holding his knee didn't seem sustainable. Jiang Cheng saw him reach back to the table beside them and grab a rope.

"What's that for?" Jiang Cheng looked at him.

"I want to sit," Gu Fei wrapped the rope around his leg once, and pulled on it to hold up his leg as he sat back down on the stool, "So I don't have to keep standing."

"Creative," Jiang Cheng said.

After that exchange, neither of them spoke again. But after finishing one movie, Jiang Cheng glanced at his leg. The rope Gu Fei had wrapped around was black. Luckily it was just looped around his knee, if it had been around his ankles, or...wrapped around Gu Fei's leg...

Before his thoughts could run wild, Jiang Cheng quickly killed them deep in his lower abdomen, then took a deep breath: "I want water."

"There's a water dispenser outside," Boss Lu stopped his work.

Gu Fei went out and came back with a cup of water for him. Taking the chance while Boss Lu got up to walk around and stretch his arms before going out for water too, his fingers swiftly hooked below Jiang Cheng's chin.

Looking to get hit huh? Jiang Cheng silently mouthed at him.

Gu Fei just smiled without responding, and went around to behind him, lightly tugging the rope.

His leg shifted apart a little to the side.

"You're dead," Jiang Cheng pointed at him. Luckily at this time, his inner thigh felt like it was on fire, the pain and irritation both swelled up, leaving him no extra capacity to feel the urges of spring amidst the pain.

"Hurts right?" Gu Fei asked.

"Yeah," Jiang Cheng looked at him.

Gu Fei smiled and glanced at his unfinished leg: "Can't do anything these next few days, can't get it wet right."

"What're you thinking of doing?" Jiang Cheng squinted at him, "In your mind..."

Before he could finish, Boss Lu walked back in, so he hastily switched the second half of the sentence: "Can you try thinking about...the final exams?"

"Oh," Gu Fei held in his laugh and nodded.

The bite mark on Jiang Cheng's leg had two little love hearts, but took slightly less time than Gu Fei's shoulder piece. When Boss Lu's machine finally stopped, Jiang Cheng let out a long breath, not just because the jumping pain on a background of constant pain had finally ceased, but also because Boss Lu who had been hovering around his crotch area finally moved away.

"Done," Boss Lu inspected it very satisfied, "Extremely perfect. The thigh skin is quite fair, looks really cool as a backdrop."

"Let me see," Gu Fei leaned over to look at the bite mark, and took the chance to grope Jiang Cheng's butt.

Jiang Cheng was too lazy to retaliate. He sat up and looked down at the mark. Compared to the one on Gu Fei's collarbone, his had a trace of cuteness amidst the sexiness because of the two little red hearts.

Hm, not bad.

Jiang Cheng quickly imagined the scene of Gu Fei's activities at this location.

Leaving the studio building, Jiang Cheng felt it was very wise that he had worn loose track pants today. Even so, while walking he still unconsciously wanted to trot with crab steps.

"Let's not take the bus," he pulled at his pant legs, "Let's get a cab, I don't want to walk."

Gu Fei laughed and hailed a taxi: "What about class tomorrow?"

"I'll just wear baggy pants," Jiang Cheng got in the car, "Boss Lu said we wouldn't feel anything after one night, just can't get it wet for now."

"Right, baggy pants are good," Gu Fei said softly beside him, "So I can look anytime."

Jiang Cheng's phone rang in his pocket. As he took out his phone he said: "Just you wait till my leg gets better, I'll take care of you..."

But seeing the name on the caller ID, he instantly didn't want to talk anymore. If he wasn't in quite a good mood today, he might've even lost his appetite now.

"Hello," he answered the call reluctantly.

"Xiao Cheng?" But it wasn't Li Baoguo's voice coming through, it was a woman's voice. Not waiting for his response, she anxiously said another sentence, "This is Li Qian."

"Li Qian?" Jiang Cheng froze.

For Li Qian to call him from Li Baoguo's phone, his first reaction was that Li Baoguo's illness...had worsened? Took a turn for the worse? Or?

"Do you have time now?" Li Qian said, "Can you come over for a bit, dad he...is making a scene now, we can't persuade him to stop, the police also came, but...could you see if you can come over to talk to him?"

"What's he doing?" Jiang Cheng felt a little uneasy.

"He's on the rooftop," over the commotion in the background, Li Qian said, "Says he's going to commit suicide."

"What the fuck?" Jiang Cheng's voice went up an octave. Li Baoguo causing a suicide scare?

After hanging up, he turned to look at Gu Fei, his mind was a mess, he didn't even know how to start explaining this to Gu Fei.

Although Gu Fei knew about his family circumstances, and Li Baoguo's personality, even more clearly than him, he still didn't want Gu Fei to see this man related to him stirring up trouble over and over, didn't want Gu Fei to witness the various problems associated with him popping up all the time.

Even if seeing Gu Fei each time something came up made him feel assured, it didn't seem right for his boyfriend to keep encountering all kinds of vexing matters.

"Li Baoguo?" Gu Fei asked.

"Yeah," Jiang Cheng responded. Then knocked on the driver's seat, "Excuse me sir, could I trouble you to go a little faster please."

"Li Qian called?" Gu Fei asked again.

"Yeah," Jiang Cheng was silent for a moment, then softly said, "Said Li Baoguo is on the rooftop threatening...suicide."

Gu Fei was stunned: "Now?"

"Yes," Jiang Cheng frowned, "Police came too."

Gu Fei grabbed his hand: "It's fine, we'll go talk him down...Li Hui didn't go right?"

"Don't know," Jiang Cheng pressed on his brow, "Didn't ask."

"It's just a show for Li Hui to see. If Li Hui goes, he'd come down quickly," Gu Fei said, "Happened once before too, said he was going to slash his throat, running around the street grabbing people to slash. "

"What's that got to do with Li Hui?" Jiang Cheng was confused, and also shocked. Li Baoguo had even caused such a commotion before?

"Just an act. You see how those two fight as soon as they meet," Gu Fei held his hand and gently caressed it on his leg, "Li Hui probably really doesn't want to bother with this dad. But Li Baoguo still cares a lot about him, his eldest son, not the same as the other kids. So he puts on an act, people act out in different ways."

"Is that so," Jiang Cheng frowned with a soft sigh. His heart was chaotic, he knew Li Baoguo wouldn't actually jump off the building, but thinking about the chaotic scene to come, those onlooking neighbors, those making snide remarks, it made his head hurt even more than his inner thigh.

The area below Li Baoguo's building was livelier than Jiang Cheng had imagined. It was the time when people got off work, bought groceries, and were heading home, not just this street, even people from Gu Fei's shop area had come over. Down below there was a crowd of at least one to two hundred people, and many were even up on the rooftop as the police tried to get them down.

Jiang Cheng looked up at the rooftop. Li Baoguo was squatting at the very edge of the corner smoking, occasionally shouting back at the police behind him.

"Oh he's here, he's here," an older lady called out, "This is Li Baoguo's youngest son, the youngest son is here."

"Youngest son? There's another youngest son?" Someone immediately asked.

"You don't know ah, the one given away when he was little..."

"Given away? I don't believe it, probably sold!"

Jiang Cheng felt extremely annoyed. He was about to ask Gu Fei how to get onto the rooftop of this old building, when a man nearby shouted: "Jump! Hurry up! What're you dilly-dallying for! Jump!"

Then a few people started jeering, amidst whistles many shouted to jump.

Gu Fei was a few steps away from Jiang Cheng. When Jiang Cheng turned to look at those instigators, he quickly closed the gap with two strides. Given the current situation, he could imagine what kind of emotions Jiang Cheng was feeling. Hearing someone say such malicious and asinine words, with Jiang Cheng's temper, there was no way he could hold back.

Gu Fei had just gotten behind him when Jiang Cheng threw a punch at that man's nose.

It had to be admitted, Jiang Cheng's fist was still pretty cool, like his slingshot it had force, directly sending the man floating back and falling to the ground.

The man braced against the floor, kicking his feet several times before standing up and glared at Jiang Cheng as if to pounce over, Gu Fei gave Jiang Cheng a push: "Don't bother with this."

"Mm," Jiang Cheng responded and turned to go into the building.

Gu Fei swept his gaze threateningly over each of those people's faces: "What?"

"F*ck! I was just saying something and he hit me!" The one who got punched in the face cursed angrily, "F*cking f*ck where'd this retard come from! I'll f*ck him up when he comes down!"

"Then you wait," Gu Fei looked at him. This person looked a little familiar but he didn't recognize him. In any case, the local hoodlums of three generations in the steel factory area, he could recognize most of them by face.

"The f*ck?" The man looked at him, hand going into his pocket.

If it were normal circumstances, people usually wouldn't confront him directly like this. These guys also mostly knew him. But today with so many people around, and with the "Gu Fei already got taken care of by Monkey" rumor, this guy was probably getting ready to take action.

Gu Fei's principle had always been that if a fight was inevitable, it had to be fast, not giving the opponent any chance to react.

When this person took a step towards him, before he could even take the weapon out of his pocket, Gu Fei raised his left hand to grab the back of his head, and the bottom of his right palm smashed hard between the man's brows.

The force of this blow wasn't too hard, but it was enough to stun him for a few seconds.

After Gu Fei withdrew his hand, the guy swayed and grabbed onto the person next to him.

"Since when did you get on speaking terms with Monkey," Gu Fei looked at him, "Try and cause me trouble again."

The few people were silent, and Gu Fei didn't continue talking with them either. He tilted his head back to look up at the rooftop.

Li Baoguo was still crouching at the edge, but had turned his head back to look, then turned around again and yelled down below: "Don't stop me! I'm going to jump down right now! I'm fucking going to die in a few days anyway! Better to die sooner or later! If you want to keep me company, then come on over!"

Gu Fei frowned, pushed past the few people, and ran into the building, rushing upstairs.

He had thought Jiang Cheng would first shout something from below, but hearing Li Baoguo's words, Jiang Cheng had already gone up to the rooftop. Although this old building didn't have many floors total, for someone with a fear of heights like Jiang Cheng who felt nauseous even when standing on the 5th floor rooftop, this height would probably make him vomit on the spot.

"Gu Fei, why did you come up here!" A veteran police officer on the 3rd floor stopped him.

"Uncle," Gu Fei recognized this police officer. He was the first to arrive at the scene of his dad's incident in the past. "My friend just went up. He's afraid of heights. Let me go up. Don't let something happen to him when Li Baoguo is fine."

The veteran police officer stared at him for a while: "Go on up, but don't get close to Li Baoguo."

"I know." Gu Fei ran up.

Once on the rooftop, there were many people already there, police officers, several aunties from the neighborhood committee, Li Qian standing in the middle of the rooftop, her head lowered as she wiped away tears. Li Baoguo was yelling loudly, coughing as he cursed at Li Qian and Jiang Cheng both, saying extremely vulgar things, cursing them.

Gu Fei grew up here and had heard all kinds of new lows in language, but Li Baoguo's accusations against Li Qian and Jiang Cheng that combined the reproductive organs of all things in the world as well as the mating periods of all things in the universe still gave people the urge to go over and directly push him off the building.

Jiang Cheng was squatting behind her near the rooftop staircase. His back was turned so his situation couldn't be seen clearly.

"Jiang Cheng," Gu Fei couldn't go over, so he could only call out to him from here.

Jiang Cheng turned his head. He hesitated for a few seconds before crawling over here on hands and knees, brows furrowed as he said, "I'm going down. I don't care anymore. I'm going down..."

Gu Fei took two steps forward and reached out his hand. Jiang Cheng grabbed it tightly and his whole body instantly went limp. Gu Fei had no choice but to half drag, half carry him over to the stairwell.

"I don't care anymore. I don't want to hear anything about him ever again," Jiang Cheng said softly. "Let's go down."

"Okay," Gu Fei responded.

"Um," Jiang Cheng's voice trembled slightly. "Carry me down...I can't move."
