"Mm," Jiang Cheng smiled, "I didn't forget, he's quite good-looking right?"
"Yes," Gu Fei said, "Very good-looking."
Jiang Cheng clicked his tongue: "I'll go back and check out the dorm right away."
"What's the rush," Gu Fei clicked his tongue too, "You can look for years, might even get to see him naked."
"Fuck off." Jiang Cheng laughed.
There were already fewer people going into the train, and the broadcast was still repeating the boarding information.
"You should go," Jiang Cheng said.
"Okay," Gu Fei turned his head to look over there, but didn't move.
"You should go," Jiang Cheng said again.
"Don't f*cking rush me," Gu Fei said.
"I'm f*cking about to lose it," Jiang Cheng said.
Gu Fei sighed lightly, "Alright, I'm going in. I'll message you once it sets off."
"Message me as soon as you sit down," Jiang Cheng said.
"Okay," Gu Fei responded.
"Don't look back at me later," Jiang Cheng said.
"Got it," Gu Fei nodded.
Neither spoke again. After waiting a bit, Gu Fei turned and walked towards the entrance.
Jiang Cheng watched his back as he took one step after another forward.
Turn around.
He actually didn't turn around.
Turn around damn it, I'm still standing here!
Don't turn around.
What if he turns around and cries in public, that would be really embarrassing.
Turn around!
Gu Fei's back disappeared from view.
Jiang Cheng hurriedly took two steps to the side, and only managed to catch a glimpse of the corner of his clothes and the bag on his back as he turned the corner.
Gu Fei didn't look back at all, didn't even show him his profile, and walked really fast too. Jiang Cheng felt like he only blinked three times before the guy was out of sight.
So obedient.
He really didn't turn around.
But he didn't tell him to go so fast, why did he have to walk so fast?
Jiang Cheng sighed softly and turned to leave the entrance.
From the entrance to the subway entrance, it was quite a long distance. Jiang Cheng didn't notice it on the way here, but leaving now he felt like he was getting nowhere no matter how far he walked.
He looked up at the signs.
...went the wrong way.
He quickly turned back. It felt like he had walked eight miles, but still hadn't gotten anywhere.
His phone buzzed with a message from Gu Fei.
- I'm seated, there's a fat uncle next to me, feels like his flesh is going to spill over to my side
Jiang Cheng smiled at his screen for a long time. He could imagine Gu Fei's expression saying this, paired with his backlit side profile as the chat background.
-Have you gotten on the subway
Gu Fei sent another message.
-I still haven't found the way out
Gu Fei's call came in a second later: "It seems sense of direction and memory really have nothing to do with IQ, huh?"
"I walked back to the entrance." Jiang Cheng said with a smile.
"Look down," Gu Fei said, "Are there arrows on the ground?"
"Oh." Jiang Cheng looked down.
"Just follow them, kid." Gu Fei said.
Jiang Cheng's low mood lightened up quite a bit because of this call from Gu Fei.
When Gu Fei didn't spend nights at the rented place before, they would also often talk on the phone for a long time. He suddenly had a feeling of familiarity, a feeling that Gu Fei was still by his side.
He tipped his head back and took a few deep breaths, swinging his arms.
Go back to school.
Start a new life.
"What time will you arrive?" Li Yan asked.
"Around 1:30pm I think," Gu Fei replied, "Are you driving Liu Fan's car?"
"Yeah," Li Yan said, "He's going too, he's driving."
"It's so uncomfortable squeezing four people in that piece of junk." Gu Fei sighed.
"Er Miao doesn't take up much space," Li Yan said, "We'll pick you up and go straight to the restaurant, already talked to them."
"Can it be tomorrow?" Gu Fei looked out the window, the platform was empty now except for one crew member still standing there.
"No," Li Yan said, "I'm afraid if I don't bother you tonight, you won't make it through."
"You're treating me like I'm you," Gu Fei said.
"I know you too well," Li Yan said, "You're just holding it in, holding it in until you die."
"......I'll call you when I'm close." Gu Fei said.
"Mm," Li Yan grunted in acknowledgement.
Gu Fei hung up the phone. As soon as he put it back in his pocket, the train started moving forward slowly.
He was a bit surprised, not knowing if the announcement to depart hadn't been made or if he just hadn't heard it.
It must have been that he didn't hear it.
There's no way he missed the announcement just because he was on the phone with Li Yan.
