Chapter 107 - Chapter 94 Part 3

"Are you okay, Xiao Jiang?" Gu Fei knelt on the bed with one leg, touching his face.

"I'm fine, I don't know why," Jiang Cheng said laughing while looking at him, "I just suddenly wanted to laugh, I couldn't help it when I was on the call just now, I just really wanted to laugh."

"Then laugh if you want to laugh," Gu Fei squeezed his chin, "Laugh it out then study well."

"Okay." Jiang Cheng nodded.

After laughing for about a minute more, Jiang Cheng suddenly stopped laughing, frowning as he sat up. Without waiting for Gu Fei to speak, he jumped off the bed, not even wearing shoes as he ran out.

"What's wrong?" Gu Fei called out.

"Puking!" Jiang Cheng ran into the bathroom.

When Gu Fei followed into the bathroom, Jiang Cheng was already bent over bracing against the wall, retching miserably into the toilet.

He quickly went back to the bedroom to grab Jiang Cheng's cup, and twisted a towel to have ready beside.

"Damn," after puking for a good few minutes Jiang Cheng finally eased up, "what the hell kind of reaction is this."

"Don't know," hearing him speak Gu Fei felt he was still okay, and handed the towel over, "If this was on TV, your situation should be clutching your chest, vision going dark, then spit out a mouthful of old blood. But you're malnourished now, so you can only puke up what you just ate."

"Screw you," Jiang Cheng laughed at the toilet again, then let out a long sigh, "Ahh—"

"Brother Cheng," Gu Fei looked at him, "I'm a little worried."

"Just a little?" Jiang Cheng glanced at him after flushing the toilet.

"I'm very worried," Gu Fei immediately corrected himself.

"I'm really fine," Jiang Cheng leaned over the sink, twisting the faucet to splash water on his face, "I'm just mad, I'm really pissed off, but I'm not bottling it up, I unblocked my own meridians later."

"Did Li Hui call to say you took money from Li Baoguo?" Gu Fei asked.

"Yeah, because I took Li Baoguo's life-saving money, and Li Baoguo jumped off a building and killed himself," Jiang Cheng rinsed his mouth while speaking, "Gu Fei, do you know where Li Hui lives?"

"Going to find him?" Gu Fei was surprised.

"Yeah, find him," Jiang Cheng said, "I want to clear away all obstacles."

"What obstacles?" Gu Fei asked.

"Obstacles that affect my studying mood," Jiang Cheng glanced at him.

"Oh!" Gu Fei was at a loss for words again, and nodded firmly.

Gu Fei felt that while Jiang Cheng was acting very calm, his emotions were still a bit unstable.

Even with his astounding memorization answering all questions correctly during their review, he still wasn't quite normal. For example, at 1:30am he insisted on having Gu Fei take him to find Li Hui's home.

"Didn't you say it's close by? All within your steel plant's area." Jiang Cheng said.

"Yeah," Gu Fei made a sound of agreement, taking out a jacket from the cabinet and handing it to him, "Put this on, it's cold out now."

"You put on one too." Jiang Cheng said.

"Okay." Gu Fei took out another one, and they left wearing the jackets.

The night wind could now blow through two layers of clothing onto the skin. As soon as they stepped out, they instinctively pulled their jackets tighter.

There were no more pedestrians or cars on the street. Walking under the intermittent street lights gave a lonely feeling of walking in a parallel space.

Li Hui's home was just up ahead, in the rows of low-rise buildings at the very edge of the steel plant grounds.

"It's just ahead," Gu Fei stopped and pointed, "The one with the 7 on it."

"Hm," Jiang Cheng also stopped and looked over that way.

The wind was blowing rather strongly, Gu Fei leaned closer to him, pressing their arms together.

"Actually, I just wanted to come take a look," Jiang Cheng said softly, "I don't want to make trouble for Li Hui, don't want to warn him or scold him or beat him up, he's not worth it. But I just wanted to come see, to clear up obstacles in my heart."

"Hm," Gu Fei made a sound of agreement.

"Just this kind of person," Jiang Cheng said, "that's it, I won't let these people affect me anymore, from now on I can't be disturbed anymore."

"Hm," Gu Fei rubbed his lower back.

"After all, I'm the one who said I'll treat you to 800 yuan of noodles and 200 yuan of meat," Jiang Cheng said, "I need to be fully concentrated."

"You definitely can do it," Gu Fei smiled.

Just as he was about to ask Jiang Cheng if they should go somewhere else to walk around and relax his mind, shouts and screams came from Building 7. Men yelling and women shrieking, lighting up the motion sensor lights in the stairwells of the surrounding buildings.

Jiang Cheng was stunned, and wanted to walk closer to see what was happening. Gu Fei relied on his sharp "steel plant radar" to pull Jiang Cheng into the nearby shadows.

They had just gotten into position when someone rushed out of Building 7.

A blur of white.

A naked man.

Just like that, wrapped in the wind, screaming and wailing as he charged out.

"Li Hui," Gu Fei said.

Jiang Cheng frowned without speaking.

Behind Li Hui were a few more people, all dressed.

Some of them were holding objects, Jiang Cheng saw sticks, and also flashing metallic glints, maybe iron rods, maybe knives.

Li Hui didn't have anything on his body besides what he was born with. He only made it a few steps before the fully dressed people behind knocked him to the ground.

Then he disappeared from view.

"I called the police! I called the police!" A woman screamed as she ran out of the stairwell, wearing only panties and a tank top.

The group surrounding Li Hui didn't seem to hear her words. One raised their arm and swung down forcefully.

"Let's go," Jiang Cheng turned his head away, that kind of beating is meant to kill someone, "go for a walk."

"Okay," Gu Fei agreed.

After walking very far along another road, the chaotic sounds behind them disappeared. Jiang Cheng looked up and took a deep breath, softly humming: "I want to crush confusion and walk through time..."

"Didn't you say you only know one line?" Gu Fei asked smiling.

"Lied to you," Jiang Cheng raised his brow, "I think, you're at my left shoulder..."

Gu Fei swiftly moved from the right to his left side. Jiang Cheng glanced at him and smiled as he continued: "Right shoulder..."

"Smiling at my right shoulder," Gu Fei immediately moved back to the right, singing along the next line with him.
