Chapter 100 - Chapter 92 Part 1

It was an overcast day. The sun that should have peeked out by now was also nowhere to be seen. The sparse streetlights that still had some shine left flickered on.

As Gu Fei rode his motorcycle to Jiang Cheng's place, the cool wind hitting his body felt a little chilly.

But it also felt refreshing, being wrapped up entirely in the cool breeze.

He hadn't ridden a motorcycle in a long time. He only took it out when he went out to party with Li Yan, Liu Fan and the others. But ever since getting together with Jiang Cheng, the frequency of him going out with these guys had greatly reduced. That day Liu Fan called saying he wanted to write a poem commemorating the "iron brother who abandoned us".

Jiang Cheng's place wasn't far from his home. Riding there on a motorcycle while revving it like this took no more than five minutes.

He was a little worried Jiang Cheng wouldn't be able to hold back and would go downstairs to teach Li Hui a lesson.

Jiang Cheng beating up Li Hui wouldn't put him at a disadvantage. Even if Li Hui brought people, with Jiang Cheng's fighting capabilities, it was impossible for the other party to gain the upper hand.

But the situation was different now. Jiang Cheng was a high school senior preparing for exams. Forget getting into this kind of trouble, even if it affected his emotions, it would be a big deal.

Transferring from a key high school to a school like No. 4 High, no matter how you looked at it, there would be an impact. If he kept getting bothered by vexatious matters...

There weren't too many people on the streets at this time. Those going to work or school hadn't left yet. The streets only had some early risers out for exercise and old men and women buying groceries.

So when Gu Fei turned from the intersection, he immediately saw the few people standing by the streetside up ahead.

Gu Fei wasn't wearing his glasses. From this distance, other than recognizing the one standing alone a few steps away as Li Hui, he couldn't make out who the others were.

But it didn't matter. Whoever Li Hui could call over were all "unruly youths". Other than steel factory punks or non-steel factory punks, there was no difference.

Gu Fei's motorcycle didn't slow down. He went straight towards the group of people at the roadside.

The punks' reactions were quite sharp. Amidst the motorcycle's roar, a few people turned their heads and showed signs of moving away.

Gu Fei crouched down and reached under the modified rear fender, pulling out a rubber truncheon.

When the motorcycle rushed to the group's side, many dodged away. But Gu Fei's target wasn't them.

Li Hui's reactions were clearly slower than these punks. When the rest had scattered, he had just turned his head.

Gu Fei flung out his arm, the truncheon whipping Li Hui's butt.

Li Hui yelled, his voice not very loud, about a seven out of ten. One look at his ashen complexion and you'd know he was out gambling all night without sleep.

He was indeed Old Li's own flesh and blood that he raised with his own hands.

When the group came to their senses and started cursing and rushing over, Gu Fei's motorcycle had already sped off several meters.

He slammed the brakes, pushed off the ground with his feet, and the motorcycle's rear fishtailed. The bike did a 180.

This time he was closer. He could clearly see the people Li Hui called were all from the steel factory side, but only one called San Gou did he recognize. This guy often came to his shop to buy stuff.

San Gou recognized him and stared in surprise, "Da Fei?"

"Move aside," Gu Fei said.

The bike charged at the group again. San Gou hesitated then backed away.

This time they were prepared. Someone held up a knife and slashed viciously at his face as the bike approached.

Gu Fei tilted the bike slightly to avoid the knife. The truncheon in his hand whipped the person's arm. As the bike shot forward, he heard the sound of the knife dropping to the ground.

He didn't use much force in that blow, just wanting to disarm the knife. He was reluctant to provoke these people without knowing their background. If he happened to run into someone as unhinged as Monkey, it'd be hard to shake them off.

His target was Li Hui. Li Hui was a coward. If he didn't call people, he wouldn't have dared to come find Jiang Cheng alone. Even calling people, he didn't dare block Jiang Cheng at school.

Fighting was a daily occurrence for No. 4 High's students. If Jiang Cheng really brought people to clash with him, Li Hui wouldn't have dared to square up.

Li Hui wanted to run, but he wasn't as fast as the motorcycle. He had just turned to flee when Gu Fei's truncheon had already whipped his leg.

"Fuck!" Li Hui yelled. "I'll fuck your ancestors! What have I done to you?!"

"You provoked me," Gu Fei said, turning the bike around again.

"Don't think I won't take you both on!" Li Hui pointed at him, glancing aside like he wanted the others to join in.

"This has nothing to do with your brothers," Gu Fei turned off his motorbike and got off, holding a rod in his hand. He walked up to Li Hui. "You're just harassing a high schooler and called so many people. Forget losing face yourself, you're making the people helping you lose face too."

"Don't try to sow discord!" Li Hui yelled, spit flying. "He took my dad's bank book!"

"Does your dad even have a bank book?" Gu Fei laughed coldly. "Why don't you go check at the bank first? If they don't let you check, report it to the police. The police will definitely help you investigate."

"I don't need to check! I just know he took it!" Li Hui yelled.

"Alright then," Gu Fei looked at him. "When are you paying for the stuff you took from my shop last time?"

Li Hui froze. "When the f*ck did I take your stuff?"

"A whole box of Zhonghua alcohol, two boxes of Moutai," Gu Fei said. "And..."

"Cut the bullshit!" Li Hui interrupted. "Does your crappy shop even have that much Zhonghua and Moutai?!"

"Does your dad who has to put everything on credit even have a bank book?" Gu Fei asked.

"You..." Li Hui was left speechless by his rebuttal.

"I don't care if my shop has it or not," Gu Fei said. "I said you took it, so I know you took it."

"You f*cking..." Li Hui's eyes were bulging. He was so angry he didn't know how to continue. He just swung his arm, punching towards Gu Fei's face.

Gu Fei didn't dodge. With how wide Li Hui had swung, his fist smashed into Li Hui's nose just as Li Hui still had his arms open as if to embrace him.

When Jiang Cheng heard the motorbike engine, he hesitated, wondering whether it was Gu Fei. Just as he was about to look out the window, he heard the roar as it sharply accelerated and immediately knew it was Gu Fei coming for a fight.

He didn't bother checking the situation out the window first. He directly grabbed the slingshot on the table, rushed to the window, and grabbed some pebbles from the potted plant. Pulling the slingshot taut, he looked down for the first time to see what was happening.

Seeing the shirtless Gu Fei holding a black rubber rod downstairs, he froze in shock.

He had never seen Gu Fei go out shirtless before. Let alone going out, with Gu Miao at home, Gu Fei was basically never shirtless at home either. Though he did sometimes go pantless at Jiang Cheng's place, that was another matter.

In short, Gu Fei was now standing shirtless with just a pair of sweatpants with white stripes, holding a rod in his hand.

...A rare sight of the little overlord from the steel factory days.

Li Hui had brought four others, so five including himself. Jiang Cheng watched them closely with the slingshot drawn, but besides Li Hui, none of them seemed inclined to attack.

These were probably people from around the steel factory. Even if Gu Fei had 'lost' to Monkey last time, that kind of 'duel' didn't represent actual strength. They were probably still wary of him.

Jiang Cheng couldn't hear the conversation between Li Hui and Gu Fei. He could only see Li Hui was extremely agitated and angry. Then he suddenly threw a punch at Gu Fei.

Jiang Cheng didn't release the pebble in his slingshot. Before Li Hui's leisurely swinging punch could complete its arc, Gu Fei's fist had already smashed into his nose.

Li Hui staggered back violently several steps, then reached behind himself.

Here it comes.

When Li Hui pulled out a kitchen knife, Jiang Cheng's slingshot snapped as the pebble flew out, striking Li Hui's knife-wielding wrist.

Jiang Cheng knew the power of this slingshot well. Just that one hit would definitely swell Li Hui's hand. If it were a steel ball instead of a pebble, his wrist could easily be broken.

The kitchen knife Li Hui was holding clattered to the ground. Before he could go pick it up, Gu Fei had already stomped his foot on the knife and smashed his shoulder with the rod.

Only then did he look up at the building.

Jiang Cheng quickly withdrew into the room and rushed downstairs, taking the steps three at a time.

He couldn't keep hiding in the room sniping people. That would draw everyone's anger onto Gu Fei. He didn't want Gu Fei causing more trouble or getting into another brainless steel factory duel.

When he burst out of the stairwell, Gu Fei had already kicked the kitchen knife aside and also thrown away the rubber rod in his hand. He stood empty-handed facing Li Hui.

"If you want trouble, I'll oblige." Gu Fei said.

"You can't oblige shit!" Li Hui wiped his mouth with his sleeve. Seeing Jiang Cheng run out, he immediately pointed. "I'm looking for him!"

Jiang Cheng quirked his lips. "What's it to do with me?"

"It's got nothing to do with him now," Gu Fei said. "It's between you and me now. If you think I'm someone Jiang Cheng called to help, you can call someone to help you too. Who do you want? Take your pick."

The few Li Hui called now had embarrassed expressions. One guy frowned and said, "Li Hui, could this be a misunderstanding? If we mess with a high school kid like this, it'd really look bad if it was a mistake."

"Thirty thousand!" Li Hui wiped his mouth, covering the shoulder Gu Fei had just struck. "Jiang Cheng, cough up the thirty thousand you took from my dad! I won't fuss if you return it!"

"If Old Li could have thirty thousand," Jiang Cheng forced down the anger and irritation rising inside him, "you wouldn't have driven him to jump off a building."

"Cut the bullshit. You went up and he jumped down..." Li Hui jumped and cursed as he charged at Jiang Cheng, but didn't make it two steps.

He also didn't get to finish speaking.

Gu Fei lunged and kicked him in the stomach. Li Hui immediately hunched over.

Gu Fei went over and drove his elbow into Li Hui's back. After Li Hui knelt to the ground, he grabbed Li Hui's hair and smashed his head onto his knee.

When he let go, Li Hui was lying face up on the ground, blood dripping from his nose all over his mouth.

Jiang Cheng watched Gu Fei's series of actions, unable to describe what he felt inside. Each time he saw Gu Fei fight... or rather, beat someone up, it would give him a bit of a shock.

Gu Fei's cold expression, every decisive and precise move.

It was because of this ruthlessness that he would call Gu Fei the steel factory's little overlord. But it wasn't accurate at all. Little overlord was far too cute for Gu Fei, completely failing to convey his true state.

If Gu Fei wasn't Gu Fei, he would be the steel factory's absolute nightmare that no one dared provoke.

Steel factory boss.

Steel factory Tyrant Gu.
