Chapter 76 - Chapter 65 Part 2

Qin Fang said: Don't bother, I don't like men.

Feng Zhe typed and deleted several times on his end, and finally sent: Then you...

Qin Fang: Although I've had a boyfriend before, I still don't like men now, and have no interest in men for the time being.

- Then... let me introduce a girl to you?

Qin Fang didn't reply to him anymore and directly posted on Moments: @Xiao Fan, round up your little mad dog, he's annoying people to death.

Feng Zhe immediately replied: Fang-ge, if you can really get Xiao Fan to take me back, I definitely won't bother you anymore!

When young people date and make friends, breaking up and getting back together is no big deal. After a few months or a year or two, it just becomes a casual joke mentioned during gatherings, merely a tease.

Back then, Qin Fang's friendships were quite sensational, but later quietly faded without a trace. Everyone carefully avoided it for a while, then forgot about it, not taking it seriously.

No one mentioned it, not even himself, not knowing if he didn't want to talk about it or if it had faded.

Qin Fang went and turned on his computer. Hua Tong finished eating and was brewing tea in a small pot.

Hua Tong asked him, "What are you doing?"

Qin Fang said, "My teacher asked me to search for some data, I didn't do it during the day."

Hua Tong said, "Oh," and lowered his head to play on his phone.

Qin Fang wasn't sleepy anyway, so he worked on the data until past midnight. Hua Tong was still sitting on the sofa accompanying his little girlfriend to play games, with voice chat on. Qin Fang heard his little girlfriend speaking softly in the voice chat, laughing from time to time.

A few minutes past twelve, Qin Fang's phone rang.

Hua Tong glanced at the phone on the coffee table and said, "Fang, phone call."

"Who is it?" Qin Fang raised an eyebrow and asked casually. No one would call him so late, probably a wrong number.

Hua Tong leaned over to take a look and said, "Unknown number."

Qin Fang said, "Just leave it there."

Hua Tong padded over in slippers to bring it to him, so Qin Fang took the call. He didn't look at the screen and directly put it to his ear, "Hello?"

There was no sound on the other end. Qin Fang said again, "Hello."

As soon as he finished speaking, his eyes swept over the small corner of the screen, and a string in his mind was plucked.

He held the phone, his typing on the keyboard stopped, and he suddenly laughed a couple of times, very naturally saying to the other end of the phone, "Speak, if you don't speak I'll hang up. If I hang up, you won't have the chance to wish me happy birthday."

Hua Tong looked up.

Qin Fang was still smiling, a light smile hanging on his face, looking very composed.

The voice on the phone was low and slow, sounding a bit gently soft in the quiet of the night.

"Happy birthday."

Qin Fang smiled and said, "Thank you."

The person on the phone asked him, "How have you been lately?"

Qin Fang stood up, took the phone to the window, rested his hand on the windowsill, and said, "Alright, pretty good. How about you?"

They had a short phone call of just a few minutes.

They exchanged mutual greetings, asking after each other, and nothing more.

They were like a pair of familiar old friends.

Qin Fang asked him, "You changed your number?"

The other person said, "No, my phone broke."

Qin Fang lit a cigarette, the lighter making a "click" sound. Qin Fang lowered his eyes to look at that point of light.

The person on the phone was silent for a moment, then said, "Your voice is a bit hoarse, smoke less."

Qin Fang still smiled and said, "The data isn't finished, I need to stay awake."

An unfamiliar number and a few warm greetings ultimately brought a bit of warmth to an ordinary night.

They said goodnight to each other, neither taking the initiative to hang up.

Several seconds passed, and the sound of each other's breathing continued on the phone.

Qin Fang laughed, "Then I'll hang up."

The other person said, "Mm."

Qin Fang said, "Take care."

The other person said, "Okay."

Hua Tong's little girlfriend on the game voice chat softly asked, "Who is Fang-ge talking to on the phone?"

Hua Tong said, "Let's not ask."

The little girlfriend said, "Is he secretly dating a girlfriend behind your back?"

The young girl got to know them late and didn't know about Qin Fang's past, often joking about Hua Tong and Qin Fang.

Qin Fang heard and said with a smile, "No, the CP you ship hasn't broken up yet for now."

The girl laughed hahaha on the phone and said, "I won't play anymore after this round, you two go to sleep."

Hua Tong said, "Say happy birthday to Fang-ge."

"Happy birthday!" the little girl said immediately, "Happy birthday, Fang-ge! Let me treat you to a meal tomorrow!"

Qin Fang sat back down in front of his computer and continued organizing the data, smiling as he said, "Thank you, but I'll treat you guys."

Qin Fang finished smoking a cigarette and extinguished it in the ashtray.

The smoke in front of him hadn't completely dissipated yet, but he blew it away in one breath.

It dispersed completely, but the way it drifted and swirled was quite gentle.
