This was a place of extravagance and excess, where male insects abusing female insects was an everyday occurrence. Like a bewildered outsider, Gu Ting wrapped himself in his shell. His only means of communication was the StarNet, which connected the entire interstellar realm.

There, he met many strange and unusual insects—

The one codenamed [Tyrant] was a thug whose every appearance in the arena made onlookers tremble. Mad and cold-blooded, he loathed the male insects who lorded themselves above others, had made destroying the Empire his mission, and yet seemed to be seeking some kind of balance;

The one codenamed [Sage] was a rational female insect who enjoyed studying the law. His words always cut straight to the point, and he never spared anyone when he cursed them out. He had long despised the Empire's ironclad laws; even his avatar was the blood-red flag of the rebels;

The one codenamed [Cupid] was a lovesick lunatic who yearned to keep male insects as pets and play with them. His days were full of pink hearts. Desperate to have a romance founded on an unequal relationship yet unable to make it happen, he was still single to this day;

The one codenamed [Prisoner] was a mechanical enthusiast who loved studying all kinds of devices. His interest in inanimate objects exceeded his interest in insects, making him a stark contrast to Cupid, who was single-mindedly devoted to pursuing an unconventional romance.

Then came the day the Empire fell. Gu Ting and the other male insects were driven into Firenze's plaza by the rebels' military female insects. While the male insects trembled with fear and could barely look after themselves, Gu Ting's light-brain was suddenly forced to open a video call—

"Little Jewel, where are you?! We've successfully taken Firenze! Don't go running around with that little sub-female body of yours!"

A silent plaza. A flickering light screen. And identical backgrounds on both sides of the screen.
