"Don't talk nonsense," Chu Yi frowned slightly and handed him the thermometer. "Take it again."
"Okay." Yan Hang stuck the thermometer into his clothes and laid down on the sofa.
Chu Yi stood beside the sofa without moving.
Yan Hang glanced at him and pulled his legs in. "Have a seat."
Chu Yi sat down on the sofa.
He closed his eyes and sighed inwardly.
In the past, Chu Yi wouldn't have hesitated at all like this. Now it took so much effort just to sit next to him.
"Is my phone broken?" Chu Yi grabbed his phone, pressed a few buttons and turned to look at him in horror.
"...Didn't you see I just turned it off for you?" Yan Hang said.
"Oh, I forgot." Chu Yi breathed a sigh of relief.
"How's school been these past few days?" Yan Hang nudged him with his foot.
"Same old," Chu Yi looked at his phone. "Class, break, eat, wander around."
"Wander around?" Yan Hang rested his head on his arm.
"Stroll around near the school." Chu Yi smiled.
"Oh." Yan Hang responded.
Chu Yi stared at his phone for a while longer, turned his head and asked in a low voice, "What about you?"
"What do you think?" Yan Hang said.
Chu Yi didn't say anything, bit his lip, and only after staring at his phone for a long time did he quietly say, "Sorry."
"What are you sorry for?" Yan Hang said.
"I just...just...just..." Chu Yi furrowed his brow.
"Are you going to turn it on?" Yan Hang interrupted him. "My OCD is about to act up."
Chu Yi was stunned for a moment then laughed, lowered his head and turned on the phone.
This time there was no beeping. Chu Yi tapped at the screen, not sure what he was doing.
"Doggy," Yan Hang looked at his profile. "Are you the big man on campus at your school now?"
Chu Yi glanced at him, didn't say anything, and continued tapping at the screen. It seemed he was replying to messages.
Yan Hang also smiled and didn't say anything more, just kept looking at him like that.
It wasn't surprising at all that Chu Yi would attract girls. Before, he was inconspicuous because he was always cautious, wearing old and tattered school uniforms, with a self-cut hairstyle, walking along the base of walls, trying his best to hide himself.
But once he shed that state, he was the type that many girls would like.
Handsome, good physique, could fight, few words.
Yan Hang's gaze slid down bit by bit from his profile.
Neck, shoulders, arms...all damn covered by clothes, couldn't see anything.
Only his forearms were visible since he had rolled up his sleeves while washing dishes.
Chu Yi didn't look burly, but his muscle lines were still very impressive. As his fingers moved across the screen, they would occasionally lightly flex the long, tight muscles on his forearms...
Yan Hang suddenly felt that if he wanted to judge whether he had any feelings for Chu Yi, he could probably only go by physiological reactions.
He had never had any improper thoughts about Chu Yi, naturally never had any physiological reactions either.
If he harbored ulterior motives now, would there be any reaction?
"Hey Doggy," Yan Hang tapped Chu Yi's back with his foot. "Take off your jacket."
"Huh?" Chu Yi turned his head.
"Take off your jacket." Yan Hang said.
"I...I already took it off." Chu Yi looked at him in shock.
"Oh." Yan Hang glanced at the coat rack.
Today Chu Yi had worn a thick jacket over his tracksuit. He had already taken off the jacket when he came in.
"What are you wearing underneath this?" Yan Hang asked.
"A t-shirt." Chu Yi looked at his own clothes, totally confused.
"Are you cold?" Yan Hang asked again.
"No." Chu Yi replied.
"Take it off then." Yan Hang said.
Chu Yi looked at him, mouth half open, extremely puzzled. "W-why?"
"I feel hot looking at you." Yan Hang said.
"...Oh." Chu Yi was stunned for a moment, put down his phone, and took off the tracksuit top he was wearing.
Underneath he had on a black short-sleeved t-shirt.
Yan Hang used his foot to lift up the t-shirt and saw Chu Yi's waist, very solid, no excess fat...
"What are you doing?" Chu Yi finally slapped his foot.
"This shirt is mine, right?" Yan Hang asked.
"Yeah," Chu Yi tugged at the shirt. "There's a white one too."
"Not bad." Yan Hang nodded.
Chu Yi looked at him. After a good five seconds, he finally spoke, "Give me the thermometer."
Yan Hang took out the thermometer and handed it to him.
Chu Yi took it and glanced at it, then suddenly turned his head. "Thirty-eight point seven?"
"It went up again? You're so shocked you're not even stuttering...Let me see." Yan Hang sat up and took the thermometer from his hand to look. "It really is thirty-eight point seven."
"Go to the hospital." Chu Yi stood up.
"It'll go down in a bit," Yan Hang lay back down on the sofa. "I'm not that delicate."
"Isn't this a high fever?" Chu Yi was a bit anxious. The bit of anger that had flared up from Yan Hang ordering him to take off his clothes and lifting his shirt instantly vanished without a trace from the shock of this thirty-eight point seven.
"Did you go to the hospital when you had a fever?" Yan Hang asked.
"...No," Chu Yi answered very honestly. He had never gone to the hospital for any illness. "But I didn't..."
"I'm not going," Yan Hang waved his hand. "I know my own condition."
Chu Yi looked at him. Chu Yi was quite anxious, but this was Yan Hang. If it were anyone else in the dorm, he might have dragged them to the hospital, but he didn't dare do that with Yan Hang. He was afraid Yan Hang would beat him up.
"Boil some hot water for me," Yan Hang said, "to sweat it out."
"Oh!" Chu Yi quickly ran into the kitchen.
Yan Hang didn't have the habit of drinking hot water, so if he wanted some, it had to be freshly boiled. Chu Yi took the kettle, filled it with water, and plugged it in. After a thought, he poured out more than half of the water so that he could quickly boil a cup for Yan Hang to drink first, and then slowly boil a whole kettle.
Ah, the little mutt was really smart.
The water was ready very quickly. He poured out just one cup and brought it to Yan Hang, who was sitting on the sofa watching TV. His complexion looked quite normal, just a bit sleepy.
"Why don't you sleep, if you're sleepy," he said, placing the water in front of Yan Hang.
"Mm," Yan Hang smiled, "don't be so nervous, it's not my first time being sick."
"I've never seen it before," Chu Yi said.
"Now you have," Yan Hang said, "calm down a bit. If you're so jumpy, it makes me nervous too. I'd feel bad if I didn't faint on you."
Chu Yi smiled a little embarrassedly. The doctor had said that Yan Hang was in very good physical condition, so a fever shouldn't be a big problem. When Chu Yi had a fever before, he bundled up for a night and it went away.
"How's your foot?" Yan Hang asked.
"It's fine." Chu Yi lifted his leg.
